Project Overview

Having carried out a number of works for Leadbitter, AC PLC were glad to be part of the construction of this £23,000,000 state-of-the-art Leisure Centre.

The Becontree Leisure Centre boasts a highly unusual 10 lane, 25×25 metre square pool and separate learner pool, which AC plc used Swedecar and Spectile tiles to finish. There is a moveable floor, 250 seat viewing gallery and 'family friendly' changing facilities. The sports hall was finished with Junckers Sylvasport Premium Beech wood flooring and includes 4 badminton courts and the finishes in the 100 station fitness suite and remainder of the building including café, soft play area and various other offices and sports rooms were finished with Interface carpet tiles and vinyl from Polyflor, Amtico and Altro.

Leadbitter were thrilled to have secured the tender for Becontree Leisure Centre and it is such an important building for the people of Barking and Dagenham.
